Pape-Georges in Quebec City

Another good little pub in a lovely old part of town. Quiet in the day with a few locals. Nice beers and not bad cheeses. Cosy little place.

Five stars for the service and the food quality! The server here was outstandingly nice and caring, she did her job wonderfully. The atmosphere, especially in the back room, is very rustic and charming. Food is quickly prepared and tastes amazing. I would highly recommend coming here.

Located on one of the most beautiful streets in the Vieux Quebec!Enjoyed a drink and charcuterie board which was perfect. Our server was very friendly and had a great personality. Would definitely return!

Nice quaint little bar/restaurant! The fondue was excellent and the beef stew was average. Waiter was quite knowledgeable and courteous. Open late which is a big advantage in Québéc!

Pape Georges is a nice little "hole in the wall bar" in the Petit Champlain district, with stone walls and a medieval feeling. Usually they have a 5$ pint-special during happy hour (4 to 7pm) with a small but decent selection of local beers. They also have a cheese board/platter with 5 or so different cheeses that pairs greatly with the beers. The only con is that service is a tad bit slow. Only 2 waitresses (1 behind the counter) and 1 on the floor for a bar with so many tables is kinda hard to manage. Overall I would recommend stopping here during happy hour for a few pints.

Great place to stop for drinks and appetizers. Attentive service, the one employee on shift did it all- from bartending to making our food. The fondue was delicious, great flavors and appreciate the recommendation to add a sausage to the side.

The place is cool. Our server however (large gap in teeth, skin condition- psoriasis?) was not. In my opinion a tip is earned and she received the tip that she earned based on service. She had the audacity to comment that the tip wasn’t enough. If I could do it over again I would leave her no tip at all due to her sense of entitlement. She seemed generally unhappy- maybe with her life trajectory?

Beautiful atmosphere, educated staff who knew a lot about the area. Our server suggested a cheese fondue and we were not disappointed. Will be back again!

Love this place.Not sure how often this happens but we are requesting Robert and Richard for the weekend of 2/7/20. They sang at our wedding this September because of seeing them at your bar. Let me know!! They are the best!!!

Nice atmosphere and laid back vibe, not too big of a place. Old stone walls, very cool old wooden plank ceiling. Did not eat, had few drinks, bar tender was super friendly. Seems more like a local place when we were there on a Thursday around 6. Would definitely come back.Edit; We went back the next evening for live music. Two man band playing mix of older rock, very nice place to hang out and relax after a day of sight seeing. My hearing isn’t great and I was surprised that for being a small place it wasn’t overly loud.

We walked by this bistro and immediately fell in love with it. The beef strew and the cheese platters are a must.Excellent beer selection and service.

Went here because it was open late night. Serve food - until 1pm, drinks 3am. We ordered drinks and nachos and we had a good time here, but the only problem I had was I asked for water and I was not given water, no one came to ask if I wanted water and now I am done eating my food and I have no water. Could be a mistake, or on purpose but cannot give 5 stars. Nachos were good

Great pub. Not knowing a word of french is always intimidating. Bar tender was wonderful. He knew his product very well.Super friendly on top of it all

Food is good! Nice service.Not a big fan of the fish and chips, but it’s still good tho. The duck leg is delicious, so is the sausage and egg roll in the combo plate.We ordered the appetizer with duck rillettes, taste very good!Definitely will come back next time
